Haw flakes are Chinese sweets made from the fruit (haw) of the Chinese hawthorn. The Chinese haw is 
packaged using twenty-two one millimeter-thick candy discs and sold in packs of ten. They are also frequently given away after a consultation with a traditional Chinese doctor.
Haw flakes are manufactured in China and in many parts of Asia. In Hong Kong, they have been since the 1970s. There was virtually no change in the revenue or the taste of the original version.
